First Visit
Often people don’t know what to expect when they visit a new church, so we want to make your visit as easy and comfortable as possible. As you enter the building you will see our friendly Sidespeople (think of them as greeters with an old-fashioned English name), and they would love to meet and help direct you. They will give you a bulletin that contains all the information you’ll want for the Sunday service. If you have children we have them covered too – they will have an incredible time in Sunday School learning about Jesus and making friends.
During our morning services, the minister will welcome us in the name of the Lord and lead us in some prayers. People you may know from the community will read short readings from the Bible and will also lead in some prayers.
Usually, we celebrate communion. If you are a baptized Christian of any denomination, you are very welcome to receive. If you are not baptized, you can still come forward with everyone else and participate by getting a blessing.
We will sing songs and shake hands. We will take a collection to keep our community healthy and active.
After the service is over, we would encourage you to join us downstairs in the Church Hall, where there are many wonderful people to spend a little time with, sharing tea and coffee and treats.
